Beer Brewing Clubs
First brew day way Sunday, March 9th, 2008 and did an extract
Pale Ale. Since that momentus occasion, I've gone from extract brewing
to low-budget all grain, and finally to a 10 gallon all grain setup. At
this point I have no brew stand, but I do have a march pump, a pretty
nice HLT and boil kettle made from old kegs. I've got an old fridge
from craigslist that serves as my kegerator, and have made a large
fermentation chamber from a small fridge. All grain has been a lot of
fun, and I really do enjoy the freedom in recipe design, and also the
challenge to develop my own recipes. With all the equipment changes of
the past year, I'm finally at a point where I'm happy with my setup. Of
course there are always more things to buy, but I've got my core
equipment for the next year or so. The next step is to build or buy a
brew stand...after I settle on a design of course. Brewing Hiatus is OVER! We've had a few cooler days in the past
month so I've taken adavantage and brewed up some light beers; Kolsch
and my new recipe New World Wheat. When I have room in the fermenter
and kegerator I'll be brewing up my Imperial IPA, Brown Ale, and then
into some lagers. I've never done a lager, but I want to wait until I
can just ferment them in my garage
