Blitz Manufacturing Company of Jeffersonville, now celebrating its one-hundredth anniversary and located in America's Heartland, is releasing its new Silver Jewelry Polish at the JCK show (Las Vegas) the world's largest jewelry show. After many requests to Blitz Manufacturing Company for its classic silver polish in a new jar style-container, Blitz created item 611, Silver Jewelry Polish.  Many of the requests have come from our international customers who felt that the traditional cylindrical bottle style was becoming less appealing to their consumers.  The high profile of silver has escalated the need for silver polish, and consumers want the ease of a large opening in order to either dip the silver into the polish, or use a cloth to apply polish without squeezing.  Silver Jewelry Polish is in a convenient 70 mm (2-3/4") jar, giving ample room to dip a cloth, or a piece of jewelry into the polish.  We are also finding that consumers with arthritic conditions cannot squeeze the traditional silver polish bottles without difficulty or increased pain.  Simply unscrew the lid using light hand strength, or a device that opens lids, remove the seal, and the polish is immediately ready for use.  It's 8 fluid ounce quantity is ample to clean any and all jewelry, or even an entire silver service, and should last for hundreds of uses.

Wash your crystal in warm water with a mild detergent, and rinse with warm water. Changes in temperature, such as going from very hot to cold could affect the crystal, and in some cases cause clouding or even cracking. Dry with a soft clean lint free cloth or paper towels and never use anything abrasive on the piece. It's really best to buy rubber mats for the sinks and rubber coated strainers. In a pinch, you can place a soft towel in the bottom of the sink too. If you end up with hard water spots on your crystal, you can use a small amount of vinegar to remove them (in fact, you can actually add a little vinegar to the dish water if you wish when you wash crystal.) If absolutely necessary you can use a soft brush to do this for stubborn spots. Fine crystal is a very special keepsake and great care should be taken when cleaning and storing your pieces. Full lead crystal is "softer" than regular glass, and it will scratch, so it should be stored where it will not touch your other pieces of crystal or any dishes for that matter. Do not store glasses upside down-this may cause stress to the rim, which is delicate. Carry your pieces one at a time, never in groups. Hold the stem of your glasses when moving and using them.

Jewelry is something that can be important to just about everyone for a variety of reasons. Whether your jewelry is important to you because it cost an arm and a leg or it is important to you because of sentimental reasons, you are going to want to take care of it.One of the simplest of ways to take care of your rings, bracelets, and earrings is to keep them clean. After all, you're not exactly going to shine if your earrings, bracelets, or other doo-dads don't sparkle. If you want truly dazzling jewelry, then there are a few simple guidelines that you need to follow. The type of cleaner that you decide to use is going to make a huge difference in how the jewelry is going to look. You can purchase your cleaner from a jewelry store, but while that will work wonderfully it will cost you. There are alternatives that you can use to help clean your jewelry. Toothpaste will clean just about any kind of jewelry without harming it, and for most things simple water will work quite well.

The Optima 420 Ultrasonic Jewelry, Eye Glass, and CD/DVD Cleaner is an affordable, fast, chemical-free way to clean many things from jewelry to dentures. With this ultrasonic machine you can use ordinary tap water instead of the harsh chemicals that professionals use. The tank holds up to 1.4 liters of any liquid, and is most widely used on jewelry, CD/DVD’s, dentures, glasses, shaver heads, etc.Using toothpaste on your fine metals and gemstones can be extremely damaging. Remember, gold is a soft metal and can be scratched. This method is basically an old wives tale and should never be used on fine goods. There are better and gentler ways than this method. Baking soda and water can be used to remove tarnish from your sterling silver jewelry. Combine the baking soda with a small amount of water until it forms a paste and use it to remove the tarnish. However, polishing cloths may also be used for the same purpose. The easiest method is to use a dip, which can be purchased at any jewelry counter for about $5. It takes only a few seconds and your sterling pieces come out sparking with no rubbing required. Vinegar, Windex, alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide are common but not the best choices. A homemade mixture of warm water, Mr. Clean, and a small amount of ammonia is equivalent to a professional jewelry cleaning solution. These items can be purchased at your local drug store.

It is also important to know how ultrasonic cleaners work in order to determine which one will be the best for your family. First of all, ultrasonic cleaners are not used to clean items that are dirty. Instead, they are used to clean items that have surface areas that are impossible to clean otherwise and ultrasonic cleaning simply removes small particles that are impossible to remove. If all members in your family are willing to clean their jewelry and other items first and then place them in the ultrasonic cleaner for the final cleaning process then buy an ultrasonic cleaner that will resist a lot of use.Cavitations are used to remove small particles from jewelry and other items. What are cavitations? These are little bitty bubbles that form in a cleaning solution and then collapse just as quickly to create a scrubbing agent. With all these popping bubbles the item submerged in the cleaning solution will be cleaned inside and out as well as all surface areas. You may be wondering how the bubbles are actually made. Well, all that is needed are some ultrasonic sound waves and the liquid of the cleaning solution.

Here is how you use the Jewel Jet: Unscrew the top of the Jewel Jet and fill with eight ounces of water. Replace cap to a sung fit. Plug in the Jewel and wait until the red light turns off. That will take about three minutes.Bring unit to the end of counter/table. With the tweezers hold the piece of jewelry under the spout. If you are cleaning a ring, steam the underside of the ring first with short quick burst. Then steam the topside of the ring. Short bursts let the pressure to rebuild quickly.
